MESSAGE BOARD TIPS AND ETIQUETTE
The Lakeshore Surgical Center Message Board is a place to help others, this happens when people share information. Please use the following tips when posting on the message board.
- Writing a first topic on a forum can be intimidating, so all members of the forum should be friendly and welcoming.
- The forums are for discusions about Tubal Ligation Reversals and related subjects. STAY ON TOPIC.
- Be detailed and relevant when starting a new topic. Not only in the subject line but also in the comment or question. By adding detail to your question you will increase the likelihood of starting a discussion.
- Give feedback, when someone answers your question, try to add a follow-up response.
- Please refrain from "Bumping". All participants of this forum, including Lakeshore Surgical Center Staff, are using the message board and participating in discussions on their own time.
- Do not post multiple questions on one thread. By adding your question on top of someone else’s question you are being rude and your question may never be answered by being lost in the shuffle.
- Do not post the same message in multiple forums. Pick the forum that is most relevant to your question and post it there.
- Use proper spelling and grammar. Do not write entire posts in abbreviations, not everyone knows what they mean. Also, DO NOT SHOUT. Typing entire messages in all caps is the online equivalent of shouting. It is rude and it makes the message thread more difficult to read.
- "Flaming" is insulting another user’s post, opinions, subject, grammar or pretty much anything else in attempt to pick an online fight. While debate and disagreement are fine, we will tolerate rudeness, insulting posts, personal attacks or inflammatory posts.
- Ignore "trolls". Some people get a thrill from posting "flames" (really obnoxious messages) just to get a rise out of others. The best way to make them go away is to ignore them; they will get bored and go somewhere else.
- "Spam", unsolicited commerical advertisement is forbidden.
- Do not disclose ANY personal information on the message board, which includes your surname, phone number, and address. This should not be disclosed in posts or your username.
***ANY USER WHO FEELS THAT A POSTED MESSAGE IS OBJECTIONABLE SHOULD CONTACT LAKESHORE SURGICAL CENTER, AND WE WILL REMOVE ANY MESSAGES WE DETERMINE TO BE OBJECTIONABLE.***
